About
The Author:
Author Crystal Hickerson was born in Jamaica,
Queens New York and resided in Manhattan as a young child going to many
civil rights marches with her mother and playing on the campuses of Rutgers
University and Columbia University Law School. After the passing of her
mother at age 12 she had to return to her summer vacation town of Dyersburg,
Tennessee for good where her grandfather raised her from there.
At the age of 18 she escaped from the trappings
of the small southern town and traveled the country and abroad living in
Las Vegas, Tacoma, Washington and also living in Naples, Italy. She explored
many cities in between including Los Angeles and Rome, Italy where she
even had the opportunity to explore the outskirts of the Vatican.
Spirituality has always been apart of her
life from a small child. Intrigued by science fiction and witch stories
and childhood books such as "The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe" and
also "Where the Wild Things Are". Space was also a big part of her development
with the constant presence of Star Trek on their television. This, as she
grew, made her more aware of her own spirituality and looking beyond the
physical for answers. Also experiencing the death of her mother, grandfather,
grandmother, and the love of her life, Benny, made her more conscious of
the spiritual world.
Favorite author, Stephen King, influenced
her writings quite a bit as well as her own supernatural experiences.
Crystal Hickerson received her bachelors
degree in Sociology from Austin Peay State University in Clarksville Tennessee
and has worked in social work and grief support for over 10 years. She
resides with her children in southeastern Michigan. This is her first published
novel. |

of "Street Corners"
Street Corners draws you
totally into this powerful story of fiery despair and decadent street life.
It’s intertwining twists and turns of true love that endures even the worst
betrayal and with the memory of the everlasting love of a beloved grandmother.
This story is about survival, not only the survival of the street, but
the connection to family and the perseverance of true love. It’s a rollercoaster
ride that you won’t want to get off of.
